VANESSA MDEE TAKES MUSIC INDUSTRY BY STORM

When she featured Ommy Dimpoz’s song, ‘Me and You’ many still thought Vanessa is not in the business for real.

But when she decided to launch her first single of her musical career, "Closer", Vanessa’s velvet voice caught people by surprise. Her fresh, unique and fast-rising talent, on top of a catchy tune created by popular Tanzanian producers Hermy B and Pancho Latino was sure to make people dance and sing along.

Having super musicians like AY, Chidi Benz and Nakaaya on their list of credits, Hermy B and Pancho Latino are well respected producers in the country.

This trio of excellence, Hermy B, Pancho and Vanessa finally decided to unleash the track, which has been on the shelf for two years, to bring you the best in what Vee describes as "a fusion of afro pop, soul, RnB and Hip Pop (not Hop)."

The debut took place at the trendy Java Lounge in Masaki, Dar Es Salaam, giving Tanzanians music lovers a unique flavor in the music industry.

"Closer" has taken Tanzania by storm as it was proved in a private listening session at the teams Kawe studio attended by close friends and relatives, allowing them to get an insight into what the reaction would be from the outside world. Needless to say, it was a complete and immense success.

Since the release, approximately two weeks ago,"Closer" has gone viral on all social media networks including but not limited to Twitter, Facebook, You Tube and more.

With this just being the start, we are sure to hear and see more from Vanessa, who is also a Choice FM presenter, MTV VJ, Epiq BSS 2012 host and so much more on her credit.

Baada ya Kupiga show kali katika Hoteli ya Dreams, Hoteli Maarufu ya watu Wazito iliyoko nchini Oman, Abdu kiba ameibuka na kueleza Yaliyomkumba akiwa nchini humo.
Akinza kwa kuielezea Tour yake hiyo iliyopata kuchukua muda wa wiki Mbili katika Utawala wa Kifalme wa Mheshimiwa Qaboon Bin Said Al Said Of Oman, Abdu Kiba Aliamua kuconfess yale yote aliyokutana nayo akiwa Ndani ya Ardhi ya Mfalme huyo.

Akiwa ni mwenye Furaha, mara baada ya kupitia katika ofisi za T.H.T, Barnaba alisema kwa wale wote walionashauku ya kujua Ilikuaje alipokuwa nchini Uingereza, Basi leo Ifikapo saa 12: 30 Jioni, wasikose kusikiliza Intaerview aliyofanya na BBC Swahili, Ambapo Itarushwa hewani na mtangazaji maarufu wa kituo hicho  Salim Kikeke.

Last night at Club 327 DJ Topspin exceeded all expectations and delivered a 4-hour set that kept the dance floor packed all night long.  DJ Topspin met a frenzied crowd at Club 327 last night many of who had been waiting over three hours or more for him to take the stage, which occurred at about 12:45am and for the next four hours DJ Topspin took the New Year’s Eve revelers on a fantastic voyage through Hip-Hop, Rap, R&B, Reggae, Old School, and of course his world famous mixes or blends.  The Sun was literally starting its journey across the morning sky by the time that DJ Topspin finished his set. 

Club 327 owner, Mr. Lawrence Kadri, was ecstatic not only by DJ Topspin’s turntable antics but also the phenomenal turnout at the club. “I don’t have enough words to describe how happy I am with DJ Topspin, he came and did everything we expected him to do and more, his set was only two hours but he graced with two extra hours and to make it even better he played to a capacity crowd tonight” said Kadri

As for DJ Topspin, he had nothing but great things to say about the night. “I had the time of my life tonight. Club 327 has an amazing crowd and they gave me the inspiration to keep the good music coming,” said DJ Topspin.  “I am very thankful to Hennessy and Club 327 for making this night a huge success and I cannot wait to return to Tanzania and Club 327” added DJ Topspin.

Club 327 has rapidly gained a reputation for good music since opening its doors just a few weeks ago.  Hennessy has partnered with Club 327 not only in providing an exclusive Hennessy VIP suite inside the club but also in creating unique events.  According to Kadri, this is a partnership that he sees growing big over time.  “We are very happy to be aligned not only with Hennessy but also the whole Moet-Hennessy family.  What they have been able to do here at Club 327 is nothing short than amazing” said Kadri

DJ Topspin departs tonight for Amsterdam, Netherlands before returning to the United States.  According to sources he will return to Tanzania within the first part of 2013.
