Epiq Stars tour has rocked
Dodoma city this weekend at a show held at Maisha Club, giving Dodoma music
fans a night to remember.
In a night where the club
was at its full capacity, Epiq BSS contestants, Menina, Nsami, Husna, Wababa,
Norman, Godfrey and Walter with accompanying Bongo flavor stars, Ben Paul,
Linah, Barnaba and Ali Nipishe entertained the crowds with performance after performance.

The show started at 11 pm
with curtain raising performance from Ali Nipishe of THT with his song, ‘MY’ before
giving way to Norman with his song ‘Si wewe’ which made the crowd to cheer at
the top of their voice.
Next on stage was Godfrey
Levis who auditioned in Dodoma for EBSS. It was a combination of great stage
presence and his song ‘MAYA’ which made fans to flood the dance floor to dance
along with Godfrey.

It was then the time for
Tanzanian song bird, Linah, who performed her couple of hit songs before introducing
another Epiq BSS girl, Nsami where they sung Linah’s song ‘Lonely’ together
before leaving the stage for Nsami to perform her own song, ‘MUONGO’.
The ululating crowds could
get enough of the artists as they were cheering for more and more songs, when
the Taarab girl, Husna got on stage to give out an outstanding performance with
her impressive dancing skills.

Barnaba got on stage to mellow his Sorry
and gubegube hits, before introducing another former EBSS hit maker, Menina
with her song ‘Dream tonight’.
The night was getting crazier
and out of hand when Wababa, who many thought he would have claimed the EBSS
tittle got on stage to perform his songs, ‘My Wife’ and ‘Kitorondo’.
Last but not least, it was
the time for the most anticipated artists on stage, Ben Paul and Walter. Ben
Paul went first and performed his three hits including Pete, and welcomed on
stage the winner, Walter to perform together ‘Maneno’.

With the crowd cheering at
the top of their voice and asking for him to repeat the songs, Walter sung his
two own songs, ‘Siachi’, and ‘Mamy Love’, a performance which definitely made a
statement of why he was crowned the winner.
Speaking after the show,
most fans were of the opinion that this year EBSS artist would transfigure the
music industry.
‘All of them are unique in
their own way, and they are great entertainers, we believe if they are given
support they will reach very far’ said Malik Abdul, a Dodoma resident.
The show’s next stop is Dar es Salaam at the end of the month to then be followed by another in Mtwara.
